Household waste can also be processed into compost that have economic value

“Household waste can also be processed into compost that have economic value,” he said, Tuesday (4/28).

According to Togatorop, the bank customer will receive reward around 15-20 percent for waste bank operational.

Moreover, he appreciated on the effective operation of some waste banks. These banks are located in Delima Putih at RW 03 Kosambi Urban Village, Ciliber at RW 04 Kedoya Utara Urban Village, and Gria Resik in Kebersihan Bambu Larangan Flat.

Regarding the other 95 ineffective waste banks, he admitted he has not known its cause. Yet he promised to add more waste bank and encourage people to participate in solving waste problem.

“Waste bank was formed independently, so it depends on its people whether they intend to develop it or not. The point is, we we'll try our best to redevelop and reactivate the ineffective waste banks, considering it is very good to handle waste problem in West Jakarta,” he disclosed.
