Batu Bangkong Reservoir Construction Reaches 80 percent

The Batu Bangkong Reservoir construction located on Jalan Masjid 3 RW 06, Cipayung Urban Village, East Jakarta has now reached 80 percent.

We are now planting trees to make the reservoir area fresh 

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar said the construction work carried out by the Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) is at the stage of tidying up and planting some trees in the reservoir area.

To maximize it, two heavy equipment had been alerted at the location where one was to arrange dry cross-sectional areas and one heavy equipment to make micro channels from residential areas to the reservoir area.

According to him, the reservoir would have a jogging track and the sheet pile was being made naturally using river stone gabions. to make them more sturdy.

"We're now planting trees to make the reservoir area fresh," he expressed, when he inspected the reservoir construction, Tuesday (7/16).

He explained its existence has many benefits for the surrounding environment, such as handling flooding, tourist destinations, and places for community interaction.

Then an IPAL would be prepared as a filter for water channels from residential areas into the reservoir so that the condition of the water in the reservoir would remain clean.

"Hopefully, residents can also maintain the reservoir to keep it clean," he concluded.
