Channel Crossing Construction on Jalan Pluit Dalam Repaired

Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources Implementation Unit (SDA) officers, conducted construction repairs on two water channel crossings on Jalan Pluit Dalam, RT 02/08, Penjaringan Urban Village, Penjaringan Subdistrict, North Jakarta.
It is targeted to be completed next week
Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi said the repair is conducted to follow up on the RT/RW administrators' proposal.
"We received complaints that the channel crossing was too low. As a result, the crossings become clogged and waste builds up. That's why, when it rains, water often overflows onto the road," he expressed, Friday (7/19).
Crossing Work to Cause Traffic Diversion on Jalan Raya Bogor and Jalan I Gusti Ngurah RaiHe explained the two crossings being repaired were three meters long and two meters wide. Then it was elevated from 10 to 30 centimeters.
"Crossing repairs have been conducted since July 8, 2024. The first point was completed yesterday, personnel are currently continuing at the second point," he explained.
He added the work involved nine personnel with manual work support equipment.
"It is targeted to be completed next week and is expected to be able to accommodate rainwater in large quantities when it rains. Thus, it can minimize flooding," he explained.
The action above received appreciation from one of the residents, Yasin (56).
"We're grateful, we didn't have to wait long for these repairs to be conducted immediately. Hopefully, the function of this water channel will be more optimal and able to hold more water so that there will be no more flooding," he stated.
