Galur PJLP and PPSU Trained to Handle Fires

Some 45 PPSU and PJLP personnel from Galur Urban Village, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, participated in fire prevention and handling training.

Hopefully, it can minimize the impact of losses and casualties due to the incident

Galur Urban Village Head, Asliyati said today's training is the result of synergy between his party and the Johar Baru Sub-district Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat), to provide basic knowledge about the initial steps for handling fires.

"We don't expect a disaster, but if PJLP and PPSU fire occurs we know what to do," she explained, Wednesday (7/24).

She continued PPSU is the front guard in providing services to residents. Therefore, he hoped that they were ready to face all situations, including overcoming disaster situations.

Galur Urban Village's Economy and Development Section Head, Andrew Yustian Kartiko explained that in the training, PJLP and PPSU were trained to conduct early handling of stove fires using wet sacks and portable fire extinguisher (APAR).

"Hopefully, it can minimize the impact of losses and casualties due to the incident," he concluded.

Galur Urban Village PPSU Member, Shelma Zahersa admitted it is his first time taking part in training and hoped that the knowledge received would be useful.

"This is very useful for us. However, we hope that the environment is safe from fire hazards," he stated.
