Kelapa Dua Wetan Intensifies Polio Immunization Service

To achieve maximum results of Polio immunization for children aged 0 to seven years, the Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta intensifying outreach services to residential areas.

From the target, 4,572 out of 6,565 toddlers or 69.6 percent are targeted to receive polio immunization this year

Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village Acting Head, Ahmad Bakri expressed that together with Puskesmas, his party held door-to-door services by visiting Posyandu, as well as conducting polio raids at two RPTRAs and Taman Maju Bersama (TMB) in his area.

"We reached residents who were playing in the park. Toddlers in the park with their parents are immediately given polio drops," he expressed, Wednesday (7/31).

He explained the same service would be intensified on weekends at Apung Park, Kampung Baru Park, Tulip Park, Dahlia RPTRA, and Jaya Makmur RPTRA, including at Agung Park on Friday (8/2).  

"From the target, 4,572 out of 6,565 toddlers or 69.6 percent are targeted to receive polio immunization this year," he explained.

The same statement also came from Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village Puskesmas Head, Ritha Allo Somba. He stated, to reach the 100 percent target, his party has been collaborating with Dasawisma, RT/RW administrators, and urban village apparatuses to intensify the service.

"Yesterday afternoon until Maghrib, we did it at Mahoni Park and we immunized 38 toddlers with Polio," she closed.
