The Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture Agency (KPKP) is about to hold the Rawa Belong Flower Festival 2024 at the Rawa Belong Flower Market, Jalan Sulaiman Raya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, from August 7 to 8, 2024.

This festival takes the theme ‘Sejuta Pesona Bunga untuk Jakarta’ (A Million Charming Flowers for Jakarta).
Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said the need for cut flowers/ornamental plants to support various activities was increasing. He assessed, cut flowers are one of the horticultural commodities that have bright prospects and high export opportunities.

She explained the emergence of creative industry products made from flowers requires high creativity for traders to make derivative products. Thereby, this festival also aimed to introduce the public to the wealth of diverse flowers/ornamental plants.
Rawa Belong is a center for the promotion and marketing of flowers/ornamental plants as well as an agro-tourism object in Jakarta.
"This festival also promotes flowers or ornamental plants as a means of supporting tourism programs while also introducing Rawa Belong Market as an agro-tourism object," she explained.
As for the information, the Rawa Belong Flower Festival will be enlivened by a series of events and competitions such as hand bouquet competition, bloom box competition, decoration competition, coloring competition for children, tote bag painting competition, content competition, oshibana course, hand bouquet course, and various talk shows.
Interestingly, festival visitors who have the names Bunga, Mawar, Seruni, Kris, Ros, and Melati will get free flowers. In addition, there is a flower flash sale of up to 24 percent.
