North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim, supported the Sonora Peduli Stunting movement which aims to increase public awareness and knowledge about the importance of nutrition for child growth and development.

"Thanks to Sonora Radio for contributing to North Jakarta. Congratulation for the 52nd year anniversary of Sonora Radio," Ali said, Wednesday (7/31).

Ali explained that stunting is a crucial health problem since it affects the future of the next generation. This problem is not only the responsibility of the government, but all parties also need to work together to accelerate the reduction of stunting.

"Sonora Peduli Stunting movement will keep monitor 53 children with stunting by giving eggs in three months ahead," he explained.

North Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Yenny Nursanti, delivered his appreciation to Sonora Radio for this yearly program.

Last year, she said, the movement assisted 81 children with stunting. Those were 64 in Rorotan Urban Village and 17 others in Semper Barat Urban Village.

"It is hoped Sonora Radio together with North Jakarta Administration will remain together in every government's programs for the same of community welfare," she said.

Meanwhile, Sonora Radio Director, Viliny Lesmana, admitted this program is her party's commitment in supporting government's program in reducing stunting especially in North Jakarta.

The program is also held together with Sonora Radio's listeners by giving their donation to support children with stunting.

"I appreciate the support of North Jakarta Administration. Hopefully this will bring positive impact to create healthy and strong children, as well as have a good future," she admitted.
