The meeting discussed Jakarta Governor Decree No 102/2021 about Waste Management Obligations in Areas and Companies which emphasize that waste management in commercial areas is managed independently by the person/company responsible for the area, so that it is no longer handled directly by the Environment Agency with APBD subsidies.
Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto, said APBD subsidies are allocated for waste management in public facilities and middle and lower middle class residential areas only. It means APBD subsidies are more targeted.

So the independent area waste transportation service provider has a very strategic role in providing this waste transportation service. It is also expected to develop into a waste management service, not just a waste transportation service.
