Illegal Parking, Dozens of Motorbikes on Jalan Raya Casablanca Grounded

Personnel had grounded dozens of motorbikes found parked illegally on the sidewalk of Jalan Raya Casablanca, Menteng Dalam Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta.

This action involves 20 joint personnel

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Operations Control Section Head, Emiral August said the operation was done to give a deterrent effect to violators.

"This action involves 20 joint personnel from South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, army, and police," he expressed, Wednesday (8/6).

Illegal Parking on Jalan Raya Jagakarsa Controlled

He explained there were 12 motorbikes being brought to the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Office where they would then be given a dossier (BAP) tickets by the police.

"We never tire of appealing to people who own vehicles, both two- and four-wheeled vehicles, to always park in the proper place thus uit doesn't harm many parties," he explained.

One of the residents, Juhri (54) admitted that even though there had been frequent enforcement, there were still many motorists who parked illegally and occupied the sidewalks and roads.

"Hopefully, they will feel more deterred after this operation," he hoped.
