JITEX 2024 Offers Cheap Food Product Packages

The National Food Agency, the Association of Indonesian Retailers and Shopping Center Tenants (HIPPINDO) together with the Jakarta Provincial Government, launched a cheap food movement at the Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism and SME Expo (JITEX) 2024 event.

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Enterprise Cooperatives Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo said it is in order to maintain inflation stability, as well as provide cheap food prices for visitors and JITEX participants.

She cited, cheap food packages from Food Station contain 5 kilograms of fluffier sego rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of granulated sugar, 2 pieces of Indomie, 200 milliliters of UHT chocolate milk, 200 milliliters of UHT full cream and free godie sold for Rp 100,000. Normally all these items are priced at Rp 130,000. There is also a package of 3 kilograms of sugar for Rp 50,000.

"Usually, to get a package you need to show your KTP and you can only buy one, here visitors can buy cheap pagan packages according to their ability," She asserted.

Food Availability and Stabilization, National Food Agency Section Head, Gusti Ketut Astawa stated synergy from all parties was needed to overcome inflation.

Therefore, he hoped that what it is trying to do could have a good impact on controlling inflation.
