KPKP Agency Intensifies Food Supervision in South Jakarta

The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency (KPKP) continues to ensure food security for residents by intensifying supervision of fresh food from plants and livestock.

This time, food safety supervision is focused on Pasar Minggu, Mampang Prapatan Market, Warung Buncit Market, Lenteng Agung Market, and Transmart Cilandak in South Jakarta.
It was recorded that there were 132 food samples tested with details of 103 agricultural products and 29 livestock products. The results of the hundreds of food samples tested, no hazardous materials were found, residues, pesticides, or formalin.

He added the KPKP Agency continues to coordinate with Perumda Pasar Jaya, especially the managers of each market so that they are involved in carrying out food supervision.
Aside that, the agency was also actively monitoring vegetable and livestock centers outside the city accompanied by the local KPKP Service.
"The aim is to ensure and maintain that the food that will be supplied to Jakarta is healthy and safe," he said.
