Connecting Channel in Karang Bolong Dredged from Mud

The Pademangan Sub-district Water Resources Implementation Unit (SDA), North Jakarta is dredging mud in the Karang Bolong Connecting Channel, Jalan Karang Bolong, Ancol Urban Village.
It involves 13 personnel, one long-arm excavator, and three mud transport trucks
Pademangan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Dewi Marlina said the dredging is conducted to prevent flooding by increasing capacity and smoothing water flow.
"The rainy season will soon enter, we anticipate silting in this channel," She expressed, Friday (8/16).
Channel on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara DredgedShe explained dredging was carried out along 619 meters with 70 centimeters deep.
"It involves 13 personnel, one long-arm excavator, and three mud transport trucks," she explained.
It has been conducted since July 5, 2024, and is targeted foe completion in September.
"The work progress has touched 40 percent. We have collected 1,139 cubic meters of mud from the channel and will be dumped at the Ancol PLTU dumping site," she uttered.
The work received appreciation from Pademangan Sub-agency Sub-district Head, Didit Mulyadi.
"Through the personnel' quick actions, any potential for inundation can be anticipated and handled properly," he stated.
