19 Tons of Waste Cleaned from Malam Gemilang Indonesia's Anniversary Last Night

More than 19 tons of garbage left over from the Malam Gemilang Indonesia's 78th Anniversary in Monas area, Saturday (8/17) evening, was successfully cleaned up by the Central Jakarta Environment Agency.
The cleaning takes about three hours, starting Saturday from 11 PM to 2 AM
Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi said that to clean up the garbage, his party deployed 350 joint personnel consisting of 200 cleaning officers and 150 from the Water Agency's Waste Management Unit.

"As a result, officers managed to remove a total of 88 cubic meters or 19.36 garbage during the cleaning activity," he added.
Gambir Sub-district Environment Executing Unit Head, Mumu Mulyana explained the cleaning was held on Jalan Medan Mereka Barat, Medan Merdeka Timur, Medan Merdeka Selatan, and Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, including Jalan Veteran.
"When the condition of the Monas area and its surroundings is as clean as ever," he stated.
