Johar Baru Health Center Opens Pregnant Women's Examination Services at Posyandu

The Johar Baru Sub-district Health Center, Central Jakarta, launched a pregnancy examination service at the Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) at Rawa Ceria RPTRA on Jalan Rawa Sawah, RT 11/03, Kampung Rawa Urban Village, Monday (8/19).

Johar Baru Sub-district Health Center Head, Arief Wahyudhy said it is an implementation of the concept of primary health care for all ages.

"Currently, health services are not only in the Health Center but also in the Posyandu. There are services for toddlers, pregnant women, Posbindu, and elderly," he expressed.

Then, the pregnancy examination service would be held in rotation to all Posyandu in Johar Baru Sub-district.

His party had modified a check-up bed called Kemala (mobile bed suitcase optimizes ANC). The modification innovation made the examination bed, which was previously static, portable.

The Kemala examination bed, its operational technique can be folded into a suitcase and is equipped with wheels. To fold, carry, and open it is enough to be done by one person.

"This service innovation is to make it easier for pregnant women so that they no longer need to come to the Health Center. They can check the status and condition of their pregnancy, starting from blood pressure to fetal heart rate," he added.

As for laboratory examinations and ultrasounds still have to be done at the Health Center.

Kampung Rawa Urban Village Head, Ferry Zahrudin added that the launch of health services for pregnant women was enthusiastically welcomed by his residents, as so far they have been very active in checking their health at Posyandu.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God). this service is getting better day by day," he stated.
