The Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Agency (KPKP) won 1st place for Best Booth at the prestigious Indotani Expo, a Regional Tourism and Superior Product Festival held at Citylink Festival Mall, Bandung from August 22 to 25, 2024.

The concept of urban farming will be increasingly accepted

Jakarta KPKP Agency stand, which offers extensive insight into urban farming, ornamental plants and various Jakarta Entrepreneur products, has succeeded in attracting the attention of many visitors.

One of the interactive efforts of this booth is to distribute plant seeds, roses and provide attractive door prizes for visitors which effectively increases public awareness and knowledge about the importance of urban farming.

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati stated this achievement not only signifies recognition of the initiative in raising awareness about food security and urban farming.

"But also about the spirit of collaboration and innovation in advancing the food, maritime and agricultural sectors at the national level," she expressed, Monday (8/26).

She hoped that Indotani Expo 2024 could encourage more initiatives and knowledge about urban farming, as well as make Jakarta an example and role model in implementing urban farming that supports food security.

"With this success, the KPKP Agency hopes that the concept of urban farming will be increasingly accepted and adopted by the wider community, in order to create stronger and more sustainable food security," she uttered.

As for the information, Indotani Expo 2024 is an integrated promotion and exhibition event for the Agriculture, Plantation, Horticulture, Food Security, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and other sectors.

This event provides a platform for stakeholders from all over Indonesia to showcase their innovations and superior products.
