Fire Destroys House on Jalan Lapangan Ros III

The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), extinguished the fire on Jalan Lapangan Ros III, RT 03/05, Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district. An electrical short circuit allegedly triggered it.

This incident started at around 8.18 PM and was engulfed at 8.40 PM

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda said the fire was engulfed after he deployed 22 fire engines and 70 personnel to the scene.

Two Fire Incidents in East Jakarta Handled

He explained the process of extinguishing the fire at the 100-square-meter house occupied by five heads of families with 16 people entered the cooling at 8.43 PM.

"We have controlled it totally at 9.22 PM," he explained.

Bukit Duri Urban Village Gulkarmat Task Force Head, Sunarno explained the fire started to be known by the children passing in front of the house. Then residents came to help put out the fire, but the fire quickly grew bigger and burned down the entire house.

"There is a victim with a broken bone named Rehan (26) and he is treated by health workers directly that night. He tried to help with the extinguishing process, but slipped," he said.
