Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, said digital payment transactions via QRIS or e-wallet for fostered MSMEs in Jakarta continue to grow.
"As many as 11.29 percent or 29,844 of the 264,236 fostered Jakarta Entrepreneur have implemented Jakarta Entrepreneur QRIS up to September 3, 2024," Ratu said, Tuesday (9/3).

"This value continues to grow and increase significantly along with the implementation of the Jakarta Entrepreneur bazaar or exhibition," she added.
The agency, Ratu continued, also encourages MSMEs to upgrade their class by prioritizing the use of QRIS as the main payment in order to welcome Jakarta as Global City.
Benefits of using QRIS Jakarta Entrepreneur are facilitating transactions and being practical for buyers (cashless). The benefits for fostered MSMEs are transaction data is recorded completely and comprehensively as a database for submitting capital facilities through banking and the QRIS Soundbox Netzme feature that provides guaranteed transaction security.
"Meanwhile, the obstacles to implement digital transactions are the limited knowledge and skills of accessing digital technology by the community. We continue to provide digital marketing technique training in order to reach wider consumers, digital literacy training for fostered SMEs to utilize the potential offered by digital and e-commerce platforms, implementing a digital-based payment system through QRIS Jakarta Entrepreneur, up to digital-based marketing facilities such as Friday Buy Local (JBL), e-Order, and other digital platforms," Ratu explained.
Since 2018, the agency has also facilitated the provision of digitalization technique training to business actors in synergy with stakeholders and e-commerce. Then the E-Smart training which is a digital literacy training for fostered SMEs to utilize the potential offered by digital platforms and e-commerce. A total of 8,304 participants have attended this workshop.
"Digitalization has a significant impact on the development of MSMEs in Jakarta, including expanding marketing access by utilizing digital platforms to sell products, opening up new opportunities for business growth and improvement, efficiency in business management, product and service development based on consumer needs, and interacting directly with consumers to build stronger relationships and increase consumer loyalty," Ratu stated.
