Jakarta Kurash team brought three gold medals at PON XXI 2024 Aceh- North Sumatra during the game held at Hall A of Jantho Sport Center, Aceh Besar. The team also won one bronze.

The gold medals were won by Syahrul Ramadhani in the men's -60 kg class, Akmal Fuad (24) in the men's -66 kg class and Nindy Natalia Patipemme (23) in the women's -63 kg class.

Meanwhile, Rezky Rahmadhani had to be satisfied with a silver medal in the men's -55 kg class. Meanwhile, the pair Akmal Fuad and Reinaldy Syahputra won a bronze medal in the Seni/Uzul category.

Jakart a Kurash Team Manager, Lukman Husain is grateful for the achievements of his athletes. 

"Becoming the overall champion is our target for kurash. I hope that this sport branch can be well-known in Jakarta and surely attract the young people," he said, Thursday (9/12).

Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency Head, Andri Yansyah, appreciated the kurash team for the achievement.

Andri stated that Jakarta athletes still have chance to win gold medals since there are several matches to be played on. He added that focus and strong mentality are the key for athletes to give their best during the match.
