The Directorate of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign of the Corruption Eradication Commission in collaboration with the Jakarta Metrology Management Unit of the PPKUKM Agency of Jakarta, held a knowledge sharing session on calibration, use and maintenance of electronic weighing equipment. The activity held at the ACLC Building, the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center, was attended by 40 participants.

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, and Small Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Agency's Metrology Implementer Unit Head, Nur Hidayat, said this activity aimed to ensure that human resource in Labuksi (Asset Tracking, Evidence Management and Execution) better understand the use and maintenance of Measuring, Weighing, and Equipment (UTTP) instruments.

"We try to make the public more aware of metrology. Including the KPK," he said, Thursday (9/12).

Nur added that his party discussed about the general knowledge material on metrology. It is aimed to make KPK personnel understand the provisions for re-calibration of measuring instruments used in handling evidence related to scales.

Then the next material is related to the weighing process and handling of scales. It is aimed to get good or accurate results in measurement.

"Hopefully the law enforcement can be carried out orderly and smoothly since there will be no more dispute in joint action with KPK," Nur added.

Head of the Task Force (Satgas) of the State Confiscated Goods Storage House (Rubpasan), Rahmaludin Saragih said, the management of evidence needs to be monitored based on recommendations from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK). This is because the storage of evidence, such as gold, needs to be monitored and its weighing must be maintained.

"The weighing process is always related to the weighing measuring instrument and weighing technique. Therefore, it is necessary to share this," he said.
