Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat hoped through 2015 Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF) could bring Jakarta become modesty center in Asia. City will always continue to support the event.

“ City will never stops to support the event, until Jakarta become fashion or culinary center in Asia ,” he said, during 2015 JFFF preview at City Hall, Wednesday (4/29).

The former Regent of Blitar praised with many famous designers involved in participating the event. This is one of the strategies to develop fashion in City. “By inviting famous designer perhaps we cannot aligned our fashion industry with Paris or Roma, but we possibility could become modesty reference in Asia,” he uttered.

Since Jakarta have diverse cultural, Hidajat believed it could become fashion center in Asia. Such as batik, weaving, and so on. “Not only because the designers’ skill, but also  citizens support in preserving culture who can printing the batik, weave, and discover gorgeous fashion material,” he added.

He asked to JFFF’s committee to show up the best product in Indonesia, thus either domestic or foreign tourists will visit the event.

Chief of 2015 JFFF Committee, Soegianto Nagaria expressed, there are 9 desaigners will enliven 2015 JFFF for instance Adji Notonegoro, Marga Alam, ISIS by Andrea Risjad & Amot Syamsuri Muda, Musa Widyatmodjo, Malik Moestaram, Harry Ibrahim, Tuty Cholid, Oscar Lawalata, and Didi Budiardjo.

“Didi Budiarjo started his career as professional model in New York. He has been chosen because his brain and behavior,” he disclosed.
