Bamus Suku Betawi 1982 Chair, Zainuddin or familiarly known as Haji Oding is optimistic that Jakarta Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, will be able to bring progress to Jakarta, even though he will be running his mandate for a matter of months.

I'm sure that he will be able to lay down a strategic concept

He hoped that he could use this short time to lay the foundations to prepare Jakarta as a global city, a national economic center, and an agglomeration area.

"I'm sure that he will be able to lay down a strategic concept to usher in the transitional era of Jakarta when it is no longer the capital city," he expressed, Friday (10/18).

He urged this Acting Governor should pay more attention to local wisdom in Jakarta, including by providing opportunities and facilitating Betawi residents to contribute ideas and actions to build Jakarta.

"Betawi people are the hosts in Jakarta. It is only right that more attention is given," he explained.

With a Doctoral education background in Government Science with cum laude predicate, he has good provisions to lead Jakarta.

"He had also served as Acting Governor in several provinces in Indonesia. I'm sure he has the capability," he explained.

Therefore, he was expected to help ensure that the implementation of Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) could run successfully, smoothly, and conducively.

"I think it should also be the focus of his attention. Including, to ensure the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus in the Jakarta Provincial Government," he added.

He added his appointment as Acting Governor was appropriate, in accordance with applicable regulations.

The appointment of Teguh Setyabudi, who is Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Director General for Home Ministry, by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo was based on the proposal at Jakarta DPRD Plenary Meeting.

"For me, whoever is appointed by President Jokowi, we must respect them because the appointment process is in accordance with applicable regulations," he stated.
