Cultural Tradition Celebration on Untung Jawa Island, Be There!

The Seribu Islands Regency administration holds a Cultural Tradition Celebration at Sakura Beach, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands. It has been ongoing from Thursday (10/24) until Friday (10/25).

We present local wisdom from each island in Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands Deputy Regent Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan said the event initiated by the Seribu Islands Cultural Sub-agency is part of a series of events commemorating the Islands' 23rd anniversary.

"We present local wisdom from each island in Seribu Islands," he expressed, Friday (10/25).

Seribu Islands' Anniversary Event Runs Smoothly with Various Activities

Besides facilitating artists to showcase local wisdom, it is also an effort to improve the economy of the residents. Therefore, he hoped that similar events would be a routine agenda in the future.

Seribu Islands Culture Sub-agency Head, Harry Dwirendra added there is a series of training, development, and cultural protection activities in the region.

Some of the events include a cultural parade from six urban villages, MSME bazaars, a culinary cooking competition featuring typical Seribu Islands cuisine, a boat decorating competition, traditional dance performances, and musical entertainment.

"As planned, it will be a routine agenda with alternating locations. This year it was held on Untung Jawa Island," he stated.
