Transjakarta Kenalkan Siswa Mengenal Transportasi Berkelanjutan

Transjakarta Introduces Sustainable Transportation

Transjakarta is increasingly showing its commitment to realizing a greener and more sustainable city. This time, they are collaborating with Sebumi, an organization that focuses on environmental education, inviting school students to explore Transjakarta services and the various sustainability efforts that have been implemented.

This awareness is expected to encourage them to make public transportation a more environmentally friendly lifestyle

In this education activity, students are invited to enjoy various experiences, including City Tour, Transjakarta bus ride simulation, learning how to get on and off the bus safely and comfortably, and interactive discussions.

PT Transjakarta's Public Relations Department and CSR Head, Ayu Wardhani said the main goal of the program is to improve students' awareness of the importance of public transportation in reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions, as well as encouraging students to choose public transportation as their main choice in their daily activities.

"Another goal that is no less important is to create agents of change, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to become agents of change in their surrounding environment," she expressed, Friday (11/1).

She hoped that it would foster a deeper understanding among the younger generation of the importance of the role of public transportation in reducing congestion and carbon emissions.

"This awareness is expected to encourage them to make public transportation a more environmentally friendly lifestyle from an early age," she explained.

She added Transjakarta is not just a transportation service, but is part of the solution to overcome urban problems.

"Involving young people in this effort is an important step in creating sustainable change," she added.

One of the teachers from Victory Plus School, Krisna shared her impressions. She assessed, the field trip with grade 10 students to Transjakarta had a tremendous impact. Students learned about the importance of public transportation and saw firsthand the innovations implemented.

"Many of them were trying Transjakarta for the first time, and it turned out that they felt comfortable and safe. Hopefully, this experience will raise awareness among the younger generation to support public transportation for environmental sustainability," he added.

He hoped that it could increase public awareness, especially the younger generation, of the importance of the role of public transportation in creating a better city.

"This is a form of Transjakarta's commitment to continue to innovate and improve the quality of services, making it the public's main choice for mobility," he stated.
