150 Trees Planted in Mandor Hasan Embung

As many as 150 trees are planted in the Mandor Hasan Embung (artificial lake) area, Bambu Apus Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Friday (11/8). This tree planting involved three pillars.

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga said tree planting is done to support the food security program in the region.
According to him, the Mandor Hasan Embung area was chosen, as it was very big and there are still many areas that have not been planted with trees, so it looks barren.

Of the 50 trees planted, 100 of them were donated by the East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency. The types included Flamboyan, Trembesi, Tabebuya, and other types of shade trees. While the other 50 are productive trees consisting of Jamaican Guava, Rambutan, Coconut, and Cepedak.
Dari 150 pohon yang ditanam hari ini, ungkap Ritonga, 100 pohon di antaranya merupakan bantuan dari Sudin Pertamanan dan Hutan Kota Jakarta Timur. Jenisnya antara lain Flamboyan, Trembesi, Tabebuya, dan jenis pohon pelindung lainnya. Sedangkan 50 lainnya adalah pohon produktif terdiri dari Jambu Jamaika, Rambutan, Kelapa dan Cepedak.
"Productive trees that are planted, later when they bear fruit, the results can be enjoyed by residents. Because this is part of the program to increase food security," he said.
