Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat wants citizens could preserve ancestor cultural. With his citizens who come from various areas, He wants Jakarta to be the window of indonesia culture.

There are many associations in Jakarta, its culture must keep being preserved

It was conveyed after he attended inauguration of Association of All Indonesian association Wonogori Families (IPKWSI) on Lapangan Ahmad Yani, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, dawn Sunday (5/24).

Djarot said, he was glad about the cultural plurality in Jakarta. Moreover many regional associations show up preserving  their ancestor culture. "There are many associations in Jakarta, its culture must keep being preserved," he expressed.

For the government itself , he continued, with cultural performances, could be used to convey some programs. "Like for Wonogiri citizens in Jakarta, i tell them to be order in street vendors, waste, and residentials. As the most citizens here have informal sector job," he uttered.

Meanwhile, a City councils, Gembong Wardono who is also Wonogirian added, it needs a synergy between the association and government. "So, it's not only to live in Jakarta then its result brought to the village, but also to participate in the city development. There must be a good communication between the association and government," he disclosed.

The event then closed with traditional leather puppet performance all night long by Ki Dalang Warseno Slenk. Djarot was also appointed giving semar puppet  to the puppeteer, and drank Wonogiri origins herb.
