Djarot : Do'nt Involve Young Children In Demonstration

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat deeply regrets the presence of elementary students that involved in demonstrations in front of Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Friday (5/22) morning. Furthermore, the demand that submitted in the demonstration is adult problem concerning the refusal of residents' relocation from Ciliwung river bank.

After seeing the incident, Djarot immediately asked the demonstrator representatives to meet. But, the Blitar former Mayor still not know the demand that being asked by the citizen. "I ask them to come here immediately before they shout their demand," he told.

As information, around 20 elementary students were seen demonstration in front of Jakarta City Hall. They are Pinangsia residents on Ciliwung riverbank who refused to be relocated. They bring attribute as banner reads 'The rich protected while the poor relocated'.

The dozens students were admitted to come from three schools, SDN Pinangsia 03 Pagi Jakarta, SDN 04 Petang Jakarta and SDN Ancol 03 Pagi Jakarta. In this demonstration they use uniform and shout yel-yel. "The sixth class still participated in National Exam, so we still on holiday." told a students while confirmed.
