Ragunan Zoo in South Jakarta is ready to welcome the Christmas and New Year holidays by providing visitors with the best fun and experience.

Ragunan Zoo Technical Unit Head, Endah Rumiyati said this year's Christmas and New Year holidays take the theme, Synergy in Harmony of Animal Conservation towards a Global City. The theme was chosen to remind people of the importance of efforts to preserve flora and fauna in line with Jakarta's transformation into a global city.
"We're committed to preserving natural harmony while providing education to the public," she expressed, Tuesday (12/24).
Sharing Christmas Joy, Acting Governor Teguh Visits Orphanage and Elderly HomeAs for the preparation of facilities and infrastructure, her party had prepared additional parking space that could accommodate 5,700 cars and 14,000 motorbikes.
"We will direct motorists to park inside if the outside parking lot is full," she explained.
During December 25, 26, 28, and 29, 2024, and January 1, 2025, there will be a keeper talk, a direct education from animal caretakers, and also feeding time, every visitor can witness the process of feeding animals such as Sumatran tigers, African lions, pythons, Komodo dragons, pelicans, Sumatran elephants, estuarine crocodiles, giraffes, and others.
"Hopefully, it can provide an exciting and best experience for visitors, especially during the peak Christmas and New Year holidays," she hoped.
Ragunan Zoo Public Relations Head, Wahyudi Bambang explained the zoo will open earlier from 6 AM to 4 PM. It applies on Wednesday (12/25), Thursday (12/26), Saturday (12/28), Sunday (12/29), and Wednesday (1/1). While on Friday (12/27), Monday (12/30), and Tuesday (12/31), operational hours will return to normal from 7 AM - 4 PM.
By collaborating with Dinkes, her side also set up healthcare posts at two points of Ancol.
"During national holidays, we eliminate animal holidays or closings which are usually scheduled every Monday," she said.
