Firework Party to Liven Up New Year's Eve in Old Shanghai

The East Jakarta administration is gearing up to host public New Year’s Eve celebrations, with the main event set to take place in Old Shanghai City, Cakung, East Jakarta.

We will start to celebrate New Year's Eve from 5 PM to 1 AM

Agung Sedayu Group Marketing Communication Manager, Natalia Poetrie said her party as the manager of Old Shanghai City collaborated with the East Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency (Parekraf) to present various entertainment for residents to welcome the New Year's Eve.

"We will start to celebrate New Year's Eve from 5 PM to 1 AM. There will be many artists performing at Old Shanghai and continued with a firework party at 11 PM," she expressed Monday (12/30).

Traffic Diversion and Parking Lot Prepared for New Year's Eve

Several artists and music groups who would perform to entertain residents were Endang Nihesa, Hilms, AXL Ramanda, Lucy Band, Rafi Sudirman, Ellan Uno, Santana Balle, and Dag Dig Dug Band.

East Jakarta Parekraf Sub-agency's Creative Economy Section Head, Hairul Anwar said there would be various entertainment on New Year's Eve, such as dancing, lighting shows, and photo shoots in the form of Betawi traditional houses combined with a DJ Show from Old Shanghai and fireworks.

Aside that, there would also be 10 cone tents in the size of 3x3 meters for SMEs to enliven the bazaar in Old Shanghai.

"The bazaar starts from 1 PM until New Year's Eve," he uttered.
