Acting Governor Teguh: Jakartans, Happy New Year 2025!

To ensure the smooth running of the New Year's events, Acting Jakarta Governor Teguh Setyabudi directly monitored the New Year's Eve celebrations at some strategic points in Monas and Bundaran HI areas.

"We have done our best to anticipate various things. Of course, this can't be separated from the support of the Forkopimda, especially from Polda Metro Jaya, with the Pangdam," he said, in Patung Kuda area, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/31) night.

According to him, the Jakarta administration had optimized all related agencies to provide maximum service to the public. That was by sending 1,700 personnel from Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) to the crowded spots.

"Also 2,700 personnel from Satpol PP and medics, ambulances from Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), janitors from Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) plus dump trucks," he explained.

Even, Polda Metro Jaya also deployed thousands of personnel to maintain security and order on New Year's Eve. He hoped, residents could stay safe while watching and enjoying various entertainment.

He also hoped that it could minimize the crowd at some points but spread throughout the stage points provided. Among them were TMII, Lapangan Banteng, Monas, Kota Tua, and Ancol.

"Then also Thamrin Sudirman. Not only around Bundaran HI, we also have stages at 12 points," he added.

He urged the public not to litter so they could enjoy the New Year celebrations. He also prayed that in the new year Jakarta would be much better.

"So, Happy New Year 2025 for Jakartans that I love!," he stressed.

Afterward, he ensured the Dishub had prepared its personnel to help residents return home and leave the event location safely.
