No less lively was the New Year's Eve celebration at the UPK Amphitheater Betawi Cultural Village, Setu Babakan, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, residents looked entertained by performances of various typical Betawi arts.

Let us welcome 2025 with joy

The event, which started at 1.30 PM until 00.30 AM, was enlivened by Betawi arts performances such as gambang kromong (Betawi traditional music), ondel-ondel puppet dance, poetry, traditional Betawi theater or locally called lenong, and band performances playing Betawi songs.

In his speech, South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin invited his residents to work together and synergize in making South Jakarta to be more advanced.

"South Jakarta must become even better as the city that the wider community dreams of," he expressed, Wednesday (1/1).

He hoped that the city of Jakarta would continue to receive blessings and be kept away from all kinds of dangers or disasters.

"Let us welcome 2025 with joy, happiness, and of course as a government we will keep providing best service to the public," he closed.
