Bundaran HI Welcomes 2025 with Stunning Fireworks

Jakarta welcomed New Year 2025 with a colorful fireworks display over Bundaran HI as hundreds of thousands around the city celebrated the arrival of the new year, Wednesday (1/1).

Revelers who attended were also treated to a lighting show, drone party, and other interesting entertainment.

Cilangkap Resident, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Sugianti (42), who was enjoying New Year's Eve at Bundaran HI for the first time, admitted to being amazed and entertained by the various performances presented.

"Very interesting and entertaining. Moreover, we can celebrate the new year with the Governor, of course the merrier," she expressed.

Yes, the main stage in front of the Grand Hyatt Hotel is indeed the center of the New Year's Eve celebrations which carry the theme "Semarak Jakarta Mendunia: Menyongsong 5 Abad Jakarta" (Jakarta's Vibrancy Goes Global: Welcoming Jakarta's 5th Century.).

From the stage, the Acting Governor accompanied by City Secretary Marullah Matali; Economy and Finance Assistant Sri Haryati; and other officials, also celebrated the joy and greeted the revelers.

Teguh was grateful that the New Year celebration went smoothly and the revelers were able to enjoy it happily.

"Tonight is the peak of New Year's Eve celebrations, that's why we're keeping an eye on it," he explained.

He added tonight's event was held at Monas, Kota Tua, Ancol, Lapangan Banteng, TMII, Old Shanghai City, and other points, avoiding crowds.

"Happy New Year! Please maintain order, security and cleanliness," he stressed.

As for the information, revelers started to disperse at around 1.30 AM.
