East Jakarta Acting Mayor, Iin Mutmainnah, attended the New Year's Eve celebrations held in Old Shanghai Sedayu City, Cakung Barat, Cakung, Tuesday (12/31) night.

She was present accompanied by East Jakarta Economic Development and Environment Assistant, Fauzi and several other officials.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), tonight's event went smoothly and peacefully," she expressed.

According to her, revelers were very enthusiastic about welcoming New Year's Eve and were quite orderly.

She explained the OId Shanghai City, Cakung is the center for holding New Year's Eve celebrations with various entertainment in accordance with the theme taken ' Semarak Jakarta Goes Global'.

"This theme was designed to introduce Jakarta as a modern and creative global city. This is also in line with Jakarta's efforts to welcome its 5th century anniversary," she closed.
