New Year Celebration in Jakarta Leaves Behind 132 Tons of Trash

Last year, we collected 130 tons of trash that is lower than this year

The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH), collected 132 tons of trash from New Year 2025 parties in several locations throughout Jakarta.

"Last year, we collected 130 tons of trash that is lower than this year,"Jakarta LH Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto, Wednesday (1/1).

He expressed the cleaning process involved 3,900 janitors, 68 trucks, 53 road sweepers, and 27 cross cars.

"Of 3,900 janitors, 2,100 are alerted in Monas, Bundaran HI, and Jalan Thamrin to Sudirman. The rest are in five administrative city areas and Seribu Islands," he explained.

He added his thanks to the residents who played a role in following the advice, to bring tumblers and food containers, as well as throw trash in the places provided.

"This cleaning is faster, starting from 00.30 AM to 4 AM," he closed.
