City's Regional Tax Touches Rp 44,46 Trillion

The Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) recorded that regional tax realization in 2024 was Rp 44.46 trillion or 98.85 percent of the target set at Rp 44.98 trillion.

Hopefully, this positive trend can continue in 2025

This figure increased by Rp 43.52 trillion, or Rp 936 billion, or 2.15 percent, compared to the 2023 realization.

Jakarta Bapenda Head, Lusiana Herawati said that in 2023, regional tax realization was recorded at Rp 43.52 trillion, slightly lower than in 2024.

Tax Realization in West Jakarta Reaches 95 Percent

"The highest contributors in both years are motorized vehicle tax (PKB) and urban land and building tax (PBB), with an increasing trend that reflects the effectiveness of management and supervision,' he expressed, Tuesday (1/7).

He explained that this success could not be separated from various strategic steps, including updating tax object data, intensive tax collection, and strengthening digital systems to facilitate tax payments.

"Hopefully, this positive trend can continue in 2025, where the tax target is set higher, which is Rp 48 trillion," he explained.

Here are five biggest tax contributors during 2024:

1. PKB: Rp 9,65 trillion (104,68 percent of target)

2. PBB: Rp 9,96 triliun (99,62 persen dari target)

3. Vehicle-ownership Transfer Fees (BBNKB): Rp 6,64 trillion (106,21 percent of target)

4.  Property Transfer Fee (BPHTB): Rp 6,1 trillion (76,25 percent of target)

5. Cigarette Tax: Rp 883,98 billion (98,22 percent of target)
