Jakarta City Council Chairman Khoirudin believes that the formation of Agglomeration area based on Law No 2/2024 about Special Region of Jakarta will bring positive impact.

Khoirudin said Agglomeration will ease the classic problems management such as transportation, waste, and flood in Jakarta.
"Inter-region cooperation will be more effective with a clear regulation," he said, Tuesday (1/7).

"Agglomeration area eases us to manage and cooperate recent problems," he added.
Khoirudin reminded that the formation of agglomeration area also faces challenges. As the example, clear regulation is needed to solve problem in coordination between regional governments that have different authorities.
"Transportation should not cross the geographycal boundaries of other regions," he continued.
He hopes the agglomeration area will be able to construct supporting infrastructure to solve problems in Jakarta such as flood and waste. One of the solutions is by building reservoir.
