Kelapa Gading Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit, North Jakarta constructed the broken retaining wall of a connecting channel on Jalan Boulevard Timur, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village.

Acting Kelapa Gading Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Slamet Riyanto said the construction is run along 96 meter, 60 cm of width and 2.1 meter of length.
"The construction is run to respond Kelapa Gading Sub-district Head instruction to optimize the comnecting channel," he said, Tuesday (1/21).
Channel Repair on Jalan Pondok Labu I CompletedSlamet explained the retaining wall construction has been running since January 2, 2025 and now the progress reaches 36 percent.
"It is predicted to complete in end of February," he explained.
There are nine Blue Taskforce personnel deployed to construct the retaining wall.
"We demolish the existing wall to be constructed with new wall," he added.
He hoped the channel will be optimal in preventing inundation once the construction is completed.
"The retaining wall also makes the surrounding area looks neater," he continued.
Meanwhile, one of local traders, Kris (55) appreciated the retaining wall construction.
"Hopefully there will be no more inundation in the area," he admitted.
