Commission E: MBG Motivates Children to Go to School

"As long as there are no cases such as brawls, drugs, and so on, they should still given the opportunity to go to school," he expressed at Jakarta DPRD Building, Monday (3/2).

According to him, education should not only be accessible to smart children. All children in Jakarta must be given the same opportunity.

"Don't let children drop out because of financial issues," he asserted.

Commission E, he mentioned, also asked Education Agency to increase socialization to the public regarding the provision of KJP Plus and KJMU assistance.

"Hopefully, with a good and effective socialization, residents can understand the process and criteria for KJP Plus and KJMU beneficiaries," he stated.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Education Agency Acting Head, Sarjoko conveyed the plan to add criteria for KJP Plus beneficiaries, which is having an average report card score of minimum 70.

"The report card with a minimum score of 70 as an additional requirement for KJP Plus beneficiaries can be seen from data in Sidanira (Report Card Score Data Collection System), that there are actually not many students with scores below 70," he explained.

This additional criteria was intended to foster students' learning motivation to achieve better.

"Based on KJP Plus 2024 beneficiaries, the distribution of report card scores below 70 is very small, as many as 3,507 students or 2.67 percent," he closed.
