The 108-meter-long water channel repairs on Jalan Alkesa, RT 03/01, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta, finally completed.

Hope this will have a positive impact

"This repair started on December 2, 2024," stated Jagakarsa Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Sartono, Wednesday (2/5).

He explained the repair channel was executed by installing U-ditch measuring 40 x 40 centimeters.

"The work involves six personnel and supporting tools," he explained.

According to him, personnel had difficulties due to narrow access, making it impossible for heavy machinery to enter the site.

"The work of lowering and installing 180 units of U-ditch along with their concrete covers is done manually," he added.

He hoped that it could effectively prevent the occurrence of flooding in the surrounding area.

"Hope this will have a positive impact on the residents, especially regarding the issue of flooding during the rain," he hoped.

The work received appreciation from one of the residents, Arul (44).

"Hopefully, this can address the residents' concerns regarding the flood," he stated.
