Transjakarta Puts Officers on Alert at Railway Crossings for Safety"Council is appreciating this achievement. The effort in increasing the service and fulfilling society needs in effective and efficient transportation is supported fully by agreeing the subsidy allocation for Transjakarta users," he said, Monday (2/17).
Since there is target to reach 60 percent of people using public transportation in 2030, he hoped there will be effectiveness and efficiency subsidy trend that is better than previous years.
"User received Rp 10,000 subsidy in 2024. It is lower compared to previous year by Rp 16,800 per user in 2022, and Rp 11,400 in 2023," he added.
Ade continued that Transjakarta has applied effective strategy in increasing the number of customer and fulfilling society needs. Generally, Jakarta Provincial Government applies two big strategies to increase the user of public transportation
and decline the traffic congestion and air pollution.First is push strategy. It applies the odd-even license plate number, increased parking rates and progressive taxes on motor vehicle ownership that encourage people to shift to public transportation.
"Transjakarta plays its role in second strategy namely pull strategy. The strategy is inviting public to use public transportation by preparing integrated, reliable transportation services, adequate fleet capacity, safe and comfortable, with quality service," he continued.
He wants the Transjakarta quality can be increased due to high population growth and society mobility in Jakarta. One of the efforts is by revitalizing Transjakarta bus stops.
"Headway must be also shortened during the rush hours to overcome queue, especially at the meeting points of corridors and integration with other transportations such as MRT, LRT, and KRL," he said.
Ade stated it is also important to hear from society aspiration related with new route development, fleet quality, and free ticket for special passengers.
"In the decision-making process and monitoring of Transjakarta's performance, we will consider these aspirations and input," he stated.
