Strict Sanction Given to JMT Operator

A strict sanction will be given to the Jakarta Mega Trans (JMT) operator due to strike action conducted by hundreds of drivers. The fine amount will be calculated and adjusted with the length of the strike action. It would be cut from per kilometer rate that paid to the operator.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama asserted the sanction is aimed to give deterrent effect and prevent similar case in future.
“JMT operator must be sanctioned. We won't use them anymore if they still do the same case,” he asserted at City Hall, Thursday
(6/4).
According to beritajakarta.com's data, hundreds of the bus drivers plying corridor V and VIII have been working again. They also have to renew their contract with
appropriate article that would bring beneficial to both parties. “The contract is already under auction process,” he uttered.
Such auction, he explains, is open to anyone.
The main requirement is by providing buses with good quality. By doing so, it would produce a great benefit through rupiah per kilometer payment.
“Anyone has chance to join the auction if they provide good
quality buses. We'll pay higher,” he expressed.
In the near future, the auction that open is earmarked for medium vehicle such as kopaja and kopami with rupiah per kilometer system payment. “another auction is planned to be held for single and medium-sized vehicles. They will be paid
by rupiah per kilometer system thus they won’t take passenger haphazardly,” he disclosed.
