20 New Transjakarta Buses will Color Jakarta in July

Jakarta Provincial Government keeps improving Transjakarta bus service. That is by purchasing 20 buses branded Scania that will arrive by the end of this June. After passing of a feasibility test, those are targeted will operate in the upcoming July.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) who bought those Sweden's buses purposely, hoped the buses have better quality. "The bus will arrive by the end of this June, as the Regional Government already got the auction," said Ahok, at City Hall, Thursday (6/4).
He disclosed the buses were purchased through PT Transjakarta. The bus addition itself will keep being conducted, yet it is still waiting for readiness of the sole agent. "Besides scania buses, we also buy other buses branded Hino, but it is not ready yet as still on progress," he told.

Meanwhile, PT Transjakarta Director, Antonius Steve Kosasih uttered as planned, the 20 new buses will serve in corridor I (Blok M-Kota) and IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit). "They will operate in mid-July after the buses' license is complete," used Kosasih.
