The Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to operate six parks for 24 hours as part of the new policy of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and his deputy, Rano Karno.

In the initial stage, the parks planned to open 24 hours are Langsat park, Ayodya Park, Tebet Eco park, Lapangan Banteng Park, Martha Tiahahu Literacy Park (ITJ Management).

According to him, the City Park and Forestry Agency has ensured those parks have basic infrastructure facilities, such as main lights, CCTVs, toilets, guard posts, and security guards.
People who want to hold activities or activations at the park will be listed and adjusted for the schedules and zone areas, making it easier to monitor and regulate.
"Usually, people can exercise in the park until 5 PM. But later we will try to open at night for futsal and badminton, of course with approval from local residents," he mentioned, Thursday (2/27).
Regarding the park activation, he conveyed that it would involve mayor, local RT/RW and local residents.
Aside from the readiness of parks' facilities and infrastructure,
concerns from local residents regarding potential disturbances of public order at night have also been addressed. He asserted that all parks are monitored by CCTVs and security guards."Therefore, coordination with regional officials that also involves the community is still ongoing. We also urge the public to participate in maintaining the public order thus the policy can run well and provide benefits to Jakarta residents," he said.
