Environment Agency Guarantees Cleanliness of Parks Operating 24 Hours

The Jakarta government is about to operate several parks 24 hours a day as part of the new policy by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and his partner Rano Karno.

This policy aims to make parks a social space, a recreational area, and a venue for cultural and sports activities until nightfall.

Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto said his agency was ready to maintain the cleanliness of the park that operates 24 hours. He ensured that waste management in the parks would continue, even though community activities increased, including the presence of traders.

"I've instructed the personnel to handle the cleanliness of all 24-hour parks. We are responsible for its cleanliness, and we dare to guarantee that the parks will remain clean," he expressed, Monday (3/3).

He added the Environment Agency would also implement a cleaning staff work system in three shifts, namely morning, noon, and evening to support this policy.

This 24-hour park policy is expected to provide benefits for the people of Jakarta as a more inclusive and comfortable public space for various activities during the day and at night.

"Our men are on standby 24 hours. We will divide them into three shifts to keep the park clean throughout the day," he closed.
