The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) deployed a fire engine to clean up mud on Jalan Ciliwung Ujung, RT 10/06, Cililitan Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria said four personnel were involved in the operation of spraying leftover flood mud.

"We spray water with high pressure to clean the mud that is 10 to 12 centimeters high," he expressed, Friday (3/7).

He explained personnel had been working to help residents before and during the flood by evacuating residents.

"We are focused on assisting with post-disaster management by cleaning the residential environment and roads," he explained.

Separately, Pasar Rebo Sub-district Water Resources Head, Nana Juhana said two floating pumps were deployed to speed up the cleaning of the mud.

"We also deployed 10 personnel to the location to help residents," she explained.

She added the post-flood handling location in Gedong today was focused on Jalan TB Simatupang, RT 10/01; Jalan Sederhana RT 04/11; and Jalan Balai Rakyat, RT 01 and 13/03.

"We will finish it as soon as possible so that the environment is clean and residents feel comfortable," she stated.
