Jakarta Govt Holds Public Consultation Forum for Initial Draft RPJMD

The Jakarta Government held a public consultation forum for the initial draft of the 2025-2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) at the Benyamin Suaeb Pattern Room, Graha Ali Sadikin, Tuesday (3/11).

The forum opened by Deputy Governor Rano Karno is a form of implementation of Article 4 of the Home Minister Regulation Number 86/2017 which mandates discussion of the initial draft RPJMD with stakeholders as part of participatory planning.
In his speech, he appreciated all parties involved in this public consultation activity. He hoped all stakeholders present could express their ideas, thus future development would be better.

City Secretary, Marullah Matali explained that before holding a public consultation on this initial draft, his party had conducted several stages in preparing the RPJMD.
Among them were the preparation of the governor's decree on the RPJMD, the preparation of the technocratic draft and the preparation of the strategic environmental study (KLHS) of the RPJMD.
"Aside that, we have also shared issues in order to sharpen strategic issues," he added.
He explained that from various discussions and studies conducted, his party had formulated seven strategic issues which will become the basic direction for compiling the 2025-2029 Jakarta RPJMD.
The seven strategic issues, the first is about high human capital and civil society and the second is related to the distribution and benefits of development results.
Then the third is about a productive, competitive and attractive economy in the global market.
Then the fourth is related to dynamic governance with excellent service performance and the fifth is related to decent and sustainable city infrastructure.
As for the sixth is related to a balanced ecosystem and sustainable climate and the seventh is related to the optimal movement of people, goods and information.
"Now is the right momentum for us to prepare Jakarta as a global city," he said.
