JIS SBU Head, Shinta Syamsul Arief said the month of Ramadan is always a special moment celebrated by Muslims around the world. In Jakarta, various traditions are conducted to fill this holy month with meaningful activities.

"JIS Ramadan Festival is part of this effort, providing a space for the community to celebrate Ramadan with joy," she expressed, Friday (3/14).
She explained one of the main agendas of this festival is the Ramadan Talk show, which will discuss Islamic values in daily life. Hopefully, this would inspire the community to live the holy month with full blessings.
Aside that, visitors can also participate in sports with the community such as futsal, archery, karate, pound fit, and push bike, which serve as a means to maintain physical health even while fasting.
This event will also feature a performance by the home band and a stand up comedian David Nurbianto, who will invite the public to learn about religion through a light-hearted and entertaining approach.
As part of the spirit of sharing during the holy month, JIS is also holding a donation activity for orphaned children. Visitors can participate in this act of kindness by contributing donations that will be distributed to orphaned children around Jakarta.
"For comfort and ease of access, the public is encouraged to use public transportation when attending the JIS Ramadan Festival," she added.
By doing so, JIS can be a space that not only hosts sports competitions and music concerts, but also serves as a platform for togetherness in celebrating religious and social values.
