"I will ask Mrs. Atika (Head of Bappeda) to make this a priority because, after all, developing Thousand Islands without improving the quality of its human resources is impossible," he mentioned after attending the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) Musrenbang 2026 at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (3/21).

He assessed that issues related to education, healthcare, and government bureaucracy in Thousand Islands need immediate attention.

"I have visited Thousand Islands multiple times, and I have seen firsthand that improvements are urgently needed in education healthcare, and government bureaucracy," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Acting Regent, Muhammad Fajar Churniawan highlighted several urgent needs for the region's advancement, including a shortage of medical staff and educators.

"ASN serving in the Thousand Islands hope the governor can assign outstanding educators and doctors to serve in Thousand Islands," he expressed.

He expected those health staffs assigned to Thousand Islands could serve for three years to develop the area.

"As of now, there is only one specialist doctor who is a civil servant (ASN), a pediatrician. The rest of the specialist doctors are on contract," he stated.

He revealed the need for support and collaboration from the Jakarta Government to address the challenges in Thousand Islands. Additionally, he stressed the importance of providing competent human resources to advance the region.

"Our hope is that the Thousand Islands Regency can receive skilled human resources to support its development. From the community's perspective, one key issue is the absense of higher education institutions in Thousand Islands," he said.
