The Jakarta Government through West Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and related Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) swiftly assisted fire victims on Jalan Dokter Makaliwe I, Grogol Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan Sub-district.
"We have provided some assistance and set up two refugee tents,"
West Jakarta BPBD Task Force Head, Vitus said the fire, which destroyed 45 semi-permanent houses and 70 rental units, left 50 families with a total of 295 individuals homeless.

Vitus explained that the refugee tents are located at the access point to Jalan Dokter Makaliwe I and around Budi Kemuliaan Clinic. Temporary aid, consisting of 30 boxes of bottled water and 30 kids wear packages, has been distributed to those locations.
"In addition, the West Jakarta Social Sub-agency has also provided ready-to-eat meals for suhoor or breakfast for the victims," he added.
He further mentioned that as of this morning, his party will continue to collect data and coordinate
with local authorities and sub-district office to ensure additional basic needs are met for the fire victims."We will remain on stand-by at the location for several days until the situation is declared normal again," he said.
