Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung received a visit from the British Embassy Outreach Manager for Jakarta, Dominic Jermey, at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (3/26).

The meeting discussed improving cooperation between Jakarta Provincial Government and the British Government for infrastructure and education fields.

Then the other established cooperation are education. England becomes one of the main destinations for Indonesian students who received LPDP scholarships.
"Today I met the British Ambassador. Good cooperation between the Jakarta and the UK Governments has been going well. The cooperation is made in infrastructure sectors for the preparations of electric buses, MRT, LRT and also education," Pramono said.
Pramono added that the cooperation will also be extended to digital economic and digitalization. Those two things are the advantages of the UK.
"They are involved in improving many things. We are open to work together," Pramono added.
British Embassy Outreach Manager for Jakarta, Dominic Jermey committed to strengthen the relationship between the UK and Jakarta. He emphasized various fields cooperation is important to achieve common goals.
"Hopefully we can strengthen the relationship since we are capable for it," he stated.
According to him, UK is committed to support the human resource investment in Jakarta. It is hoped more UK institutions will collaborate with Jakarta and more Jakarta students will study abroad in UK.
"We want to support the Jakarta Provincial Government
to invest in human resources. There are several British institutions that are already working here," he added.
