Ship Surveillance in Bokor Island Waters Intensified for Eid Holiday

The Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-agency is intensifying traffic and sea transportation supervision in the South Seribu Islands area. This aims to ensure the smoothness and safety of tourists heading to Seribu Islands.

Seribu Islands Regency Transportation Sub-agency's Port Development Analyst, Bima Dwi Haryudi said it is a routine agenda for the regulation, control, and supervision of maritime traffic in Seribu Islands area.

"Supervision is intensified to ensure the safety and smoothness of tourists during the Eid holiday," he stated, Thursday (4/3).

He explained it was taking place around the waters of Bokor Island, South Seribu Islands.

Several ships serving the Muara Angke–Harapan Island route had been observed, including KM Satria 1, KM Kelapa Indah, and KM Merpati Express.

"During the inspection, KM Satria 1 was replacing the engine pulley, but the condition of the ship is still being monitored as safe," he explained.

This supervision involved 10 joint personnel from the Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-agency and the Patrol Police.

There was also Patrol Ship 09 to provide escort assistance to the vessels in the surrounding waters.

"Shipping activities have been running smoothly for the past few days due to favorable weather conditions. We'll continue to share updates regarding this activity following the situation on the ground," he closed.
